THE UST Junior Tigresses yielded to the National University Lady Bullpups, 19-25, 25-21, 21-25 and 20-25 in the UAAP Season 79 girls’ volleyball at the Adamson University gym Saturday.
The undefeated NU swept the Junior Tigresses, who are now at second place with a 10-2 record.
“Kung makakapuntos kami, nakakarally kami pero kami rin tumatapon ng bola,” said UST coach Kung Fu Reyes in a phone interview.
Faith Nisperos spearheaded the Lady Bullpups with 17 markers. Eya Laure anchored the Tigresses with 12 points.
The Junior Tigresses will face De La Salle-Zobel on Oct. 23, 1 p.m., at the same venue. I. R. L. Suing
