THE UST Junior Golden Tigresses kept their perfect record after demolishing the University of the East Junior Lady Warriors, 25-14, 25-23, 25-12, at the Arena in San Juan Monday.

Up 10-4 in the third frame, UST pulled away for good with a 15-8 blitz sealed by Eya Laure’s through-the-block kill to seal another sweep for the Tigresses.

UE tried to recover in the second set with an 11-5 run to tie the game at 23-all, but Laure capped off UST’s two-point answer with an off-the-block hit.

UST rallied behind an 18-7 run to break free from a 7-all deadlock in the first frame, rounded off by Khaira Garces’ service ace, 25-14.

“Sila lang din ang makakasagot ‘dun sa kung bakit wala kami masyadong error. Ang gauge kasi namin diyan is kung paano kami magtapon ng bola. Once na malimitahan namin ‘yun, ibig sabihin na-e-execute namin ang service namin, ‘yung depensa, ‘yung block at ‘yung atake,” UST head coach Emilio “Kung Fu” Reyes Jr. said.

UST rained down on UE’s floor defense with 34 attack points.

Laure had a season-high 20 points while Imee Hernandez added 12 markers.

Elyana Espiritu paced UE with six points in a losing effort.

Up next for the Tigresses (4-0) are the Adamson University Lady Baby Falcons on Oct. 2, Monday, 2 p.m., at the same venue.
