THE UST Junior Tiger Spikers surrendered a thrilling five-set game to the Far Eastern University Baby Tamaraws, 25-20, 27-29, 25-14, 23-25, 12-15, in the UAAP Season 82 boys’ volleyball tournament at FEU-Diliman gym Saturday.
An off-the-block kill from Carl Jonard Cabatac sealed the win for FEU.
The Tamaraws forced a decider after a 5-3 rally from a 20-all deadlock in the fourth set.
Rey Miguel De Vega paced UST with 19 points while De La Noche tallied 16 markers.
Baby Tamaraws Rens Wesley Cajolo and Jerold Talisay chipped in 14 and 12 points respectively.
The Junior Tiger Spikers will next face University of the East Junior Red Warriors on Sept. 21, Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Paco Arena.
