UST star Eya Laure will remain with the Golden Tigresses for UAAP Season 85, she told the Varsitarian.

“Yes, I’m going to play in UAAP Season 85 with UST,” she said.

UST athletics director Fr. Rodel Cansancio, O.P. said UST’s lineup for Season 85 had yet to be finalized but Laure had already committed to playing for the team.

“Nothing is official until we have the final lineup of the team for Season 85, but Eya has already committed to play for Season 85,” he said.

Laure enrolled in the UST Graduate School to take up a master’s in business administration majoring in entrepreneurship, according to the IPEA regent.

In June last year, Laure graduated with a bachelor’s degree in tourism majoring in travel operations and service management.

Laure was the top scorer in Season 84’s elimination round with 272 points from 244 spikes, 17 blocks and 11 service aces.

She led the Tigresses to the semifinals before being eliminated by the Ateneo Lady Blue Eagles in straight sets.

Laure was the rookie of the year in Season 82. Mark Ernest V. Villeza with reports from John Ezekiel J. Hirro
