UST improves in chem eng’g boards

THE UNIVERSITY improved its passing rate in the November 2014 licensure examinations for chemical engineers, with three Thomasians entering the top 10.

UST recorded a 69.12-percent passing rate or 94 passers out of 136 examinees, higher than last year’s 58.97-percent passing rate or 69 passers out of 117 examinees, results from the Professional Regulation Commission showed.

Second-placer Joseph John Liwanagan led the new batch of Thomasian chemical engineers with a score of 83.40 percent. Other Thomasians who made it to the list were Francis Jessy Liggayu at seventh place (82.80 percent) and William Macasero Jr. at ninth place (82.50 percent).
