THE UNIVERSITY produced 22 new electrical engineers in the April 2024 licensure examinations for registered electrical engineers, in which it fielded 25 examinees.

UST logged an 88-percent passing rate in the recent exam cycle, an improvement from the 75.95 percent (60 passers out of 79 examinees) it recorded in September 2023.

Raymond Geoman of Cebu Institute of Technology led the batch of new electrical engineers with a 95-percent score.

The University of Batangas emerged as the top-performing school in the board exams, recording a 96.20-percent passing rate with 76 out of its 79 examinees making the cut.

The national passing rate significantly rose to 63.64 percent (4,436 passers out of 6,971 examinees) in the recent cycle from 30.87 percent (1,218 of 3,945) in the previous exams.

The April 2024 licensure exams for registered electrical engineers were conducted from April 24 to 25.
