Rector to UST Batch 2015: ‘Give life to others’
May 16, 2015, 1:44 p.m. - LEARN how to love and give life.
This was the message of UST Rector Fr. Herminio Dagohoy, O.P. to the 8,048 graduating Thomasians during the 2015 Baccalaureate Mass held at the open field Friday night.
“Learn how to love… You come to the University not just to accumulate information without knowing what to do with it, but through the love, let that information bear fruit,” said Dagohoy, who quoted Pope Francis’ speech during his encounter with the Filipino youth last Jan. 18 in the University.
Thomasians urged to live a life of prayer in Opening Mass
07 July 2014, 5:02 p.m. - ANTIPOLO Auxiliary Bishop Francisco de Leon urged Thomasians to have a deep prayer life to become sensitive to the "whispers of the Holy Spirit" and resist the evils of the world, in his homily during this morning's Mass marking the start of the new academic year.
De Leon, chairman of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Episcopal Commission on Catechesis and Catholic Education, also encouraged Thomasians to develop a daily habit of reading the scriptures.
