Oct. 3 2016, 10:12 a.m. – THE PARISH priest of Santisimo Rosario in UST urged the faithful to remember the Blessed Virgin Mary’s perseverance and suffering at the foot of the cross.
“Nanindigan po si Maria hanggang sa huli,” said Fr. Louie Coronel, O.P. during the celebration of the Solemnity of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary at the Santisimo Rosario last Oct. 2.
“Kahit mahirap ang buhay [at] marami tayong pinagdadaanan … hindi tayo pababayaan ng Panginoon” he said.
Coronel, the 14th pastor of the Santisimo Rosario, told parishioners to preach the Gospel and live a life of prayer, just as Mary and the apostles did.
“Kahit anong oras ng buhay mo, tinatawag tayo mga kapatid ng Panginoon na magpahayag ng mabuting balita,” he said.
In UST, the rosary feast is celebrated annually every first Sunday of October, with a solemn procession and celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The parish has begun preparations for the 75th parish feast next year.
