THE CATHOLIC Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has released a revised “oratio imperata” or obligatory prayer for protection against Covid-19.
The CBCP on Jan. 29 advised bishops and diocesan administrators about the modified prayer in Circular No. 21-07.
The revised Oratio Imperata includes a prayer for the effectiveness of Covid-19 vaccines in halting the spread of the virus.
Since January 2020, the obligatory prayer is being recited in Masses.
