THE STA. Lucia Lady Realtors picked up their first win after pummeling the Victoria Sports-UST Golden Tigresses, 25-19, 25-21, 25-19, in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix at the Arena in San Juan Tuesday.

Leading 22-19 in the third frame, Sta. Lucia scored three straight points capped by a UST error to notch their first win in four outings.

The Tigresses had a five-point lead in the second set when the Lady Realtors ignited a 12-3 blitz, sealed by Rialen Sante’s quick attack to get a 2-0 set advantage, 25-21.

“Ganyan talaga kapag bata, ‘yung end game walang panapos na player kasi kulang pa sa maturity. Kaya pagdating sa dulo, kami pa nara-rattle kahit kami pa ang lamang,” UST head coach Paul Jan Doloiras said.

Sta. Lucia asserted its maturity midway in the first set after overcoming a three-point deficit with a 10-1 rally, topped by a down-the-line kill from Sante to gain first blood, 25-19.

The Lady Realtors’ net defense yielded eight blocks, while UST only had two.

Import Bodhana Anisova sizzled with 13 points while Djanel Cheng and former Golden Tigress Pam Lastimosa had 11 markers apiece.

Dimdim Pacres earned nine points for UST.

The Golden Tigresses will next face the La Salle-backed F2 Logistics Cargo Movers on Nov. 18, Saturday, 6 p.m., at the De La Salle Lipa Sentrum in Batangas.
