The Covid-19 pandemic did not stop a Thomasian couple from filling the air of the UST campus with love with a prenuptial shoot that went viral on Facebook.
Pharmacy alumna Char Maquinto and engineering alumnus and now faculty member Jeffrey Mercado met at the University in March 2011. Their prenuptial photos, taken a decade after, showed the two posing at UST spots in couple and school uniforms.
“Jeff and Char wanted to do their engagement session where it all started for them as a couple, UST! Both products of the University, Jeff is now a professor in engineering and Char a doctor!” photographer Moki Cruz wrote on Facebook.
Mercado said they decided to hold the prenuptial shoot at UST because the University was a huge part of their love story.
“UST [has been] a big part of our lives since the start. When we were together as a couple, we would like to reminisce our times together and spend time again in UST as we wait for the [most] memorable day of our lives—the day we become husband and wife,” Mercado told the Varsitarian.
The shoot was held last Feb. 4. The photos were posted on Facebook last March 2.
And fret not, the couple had secured the Office of the Secretary General’s approval before the shoot.
