ONLY University of Santo Tomas Hospital (USTH) employees with green stickers on their I.D’s will be allowed to enter the hospital premises come June 11.

This was the agreement between the STUH management and the Samahang Manggagawa (SM-UST) after employees complained against a memorandum issued last month forbidding them to use the hospital’s north entrance door (facing the Medicine Building).

In a letter to the hospital management, Sangalang stressed the inconvenience of the memorandum. He said that employees were denied easy access to the hospital.

“ Sa halip na makapag-trabaho na kami agad, ang laki ng time na nasasayang, galing kami ng Dapitan, tapos sa A.H. Lacson pa kami pwedeng pumasok, tapos inspection pa ng gamit at pinaiiwan din sa guard,” said Sangalang.

On the other hand, the STUH Management said that the memorandum is supposed to ensure the safety and security of the patients and to provide mobility and convenience to the customers.

After the consultation between the hospital management and the SM-UST, it was agreed that the employees will be provided with green stickers for identification.

The management will also install a new equipment that would require the employees to register their respective time in and time out. Karen M. Peña
