With the theme “Transforming Schools into Faith-Communities,” the Campus Ministry of the Archdiocese of Manila teams up with the UST Campus Ministry to celebrate The First National Convention of Campus Ministry on Oct. 20 to 22 at The Westin Philippine Plaza Hotel, Manila.

Newly appointed UST Campus Ministry director Fr. Ramon “Ching” Salibay, O.P, said that the event is an avenue to facilitate the ministry’s objective to reinvent an environment that develops the spiritual side of the youth.

The three-day convention would feature seminars on “Animating A School Towards a Faith Response to Social Issues” with Rev. Fr. Rolando de la Rosa, O.P, rector of Letran College Calamba, and “Partnership of Church and Educatiion” with Edilberto de Jesus, former Secretary of Department of Education.

The event would also include workshops, storytelling, and planning regarding the reinforcement of vital communities of faith.

Fr. Salibay, one of the priests who established the Dominican Youth Ministry in General Santos City, said that the convention aims to assemble school chaplains, campus ministers and diocesan youth directors in the country. Kathleen T. Valle
