August 19, 2:18 p.m.– UST ONCE again dominated the Physician licensure examinations, ranking first among the top-performing schools and filling five spots in the top ten.

Leading the 361 new Thomasian physicians is topnotcher Chitra Deepak Punjabi, who scored 89.42 percent. Other Thomasians who made it to top 10 were Nikki Doreen So Angbue Te (88.33 percent), Michael Conrad Tongol (87.83 percent), Kristianne Emmanuelle Bagaoisan (87.50 percent), and Rozelle Jade Javier (87.42 percent), who ranked third, sixth, ninth, and tenth, respectively.

UST’s passing rate was 99 percent as 361 out of 365 takers passed.

Out of 2,300 examinees from all medical schools, 1,597 or 69.43 percent passed the exams, lower than last year’s passing rate of 71.27 percent.

    – better is you insert “national” before “passing rate.” Write up is not well edited.

  2. The Faculty of Medicine and Surgery made it once more. Congratulations for a job well done. You truly contribute immensely in maintaining the good academic traditions of UST.

  3. UST once again dominated another board exam! Congrats! UST is number 1 in PT/OT; second in Nutrition, Pharmacy and Medical Technology and Education ;and now number 1 in medicine. I think UST is really blessed this year and hopefully forever
