Nov. 29, 9:53 p.m.  THE UNIVERSITY recorded a lackluster performance in the newly-released librarian licensure examination—the lowest in the past four years.

UST posted a 38.78-percent passing rate, with only 19 passers out of 49 examinees. This is lower than last year’s 53.85 percent. UST attained 61 percent and 54 percent in 2009 and 2008, respectively.

Also—since 2008—this is the only year when no Thomasian entered theTop 10 list.

The University of the Philippines-Diliman, since 2009, remains to be only the top-performing school.
The national passing rate—with 211 passers out of 764 examinees—slightly went up to 27.62 percent, compared to last year’s 27.32 percent with 191 of 699 examinees passing the exam. Reden D. Madrid

  1. Too bad. Better work harder next time. At least we’re not covering up our shortcomings and not always tooting our own horn.

This is a good chance to review what went wrong and improve next year.
