02 September 2013, 10:25 p.m. – UST’s passing rate plunged in the recent licensure examinations for guidance counselors, with just one Thomasian entering the top 10 list.

Five out of eight UST examinees passed, equivalent to a 62.50-percent passing rate. This was lower than last year’s 91.67 percent or 11 passers out of 12 examinees.

Thomasian Danielle Marie Cruz, who got a score of 84.55 percent, placed third overall. There were four Thomasian topnotchers last year.

This year’s national passing rate also went down to 41.12 percent or 169 passers out of 411 examinees, from last year’s 55.06 percent or 185 passers out of 336 examinees. John Joseph G. Basijan
