April 16, 2016, 7:42p.m. – THE UNIVERSITY recorded a 92.31-percent passing rate in the April 2016 electrical engineering licensure exams, with 12 Thomasians passing the test out of 13 examinees, results from the Professional Regulation Commission showed. 

This was lower than last year’s 100-percent passing rate, in which all 14 Thomasian examinees passed the exams. 

John Raymond Toledo of Mapua Institute of Technology-Manila topped the April 2016 board exams with a score 91.55 percent.

Batangas State University retained its position as the only top-performing school, with a passing rate of 84.21 percent. Eighty of its examinees passed out of 95.

The national passing rate declined to 41.29 percent, with 808 passing the test out of 1,957 examinees. Last year’s passing rate was 46.87 percent, with 884 passing the test out of 1,886 examinees. Kathryn V. Baylon
