THE UST website won the bronze award for Best International Website in the 14th Quacquarelli Symonds-Asia Pacific Professional Leaders in Education Conference and Exhibition (QS-APPLE) Creative Awards.

UST was the lone Philippine university nominated across all the categories of this year’s QS-APPLE Creative Awards, said Nestor Ong, deputy director of the QS/THE Ranking Unit, in an interview with the Varsitarian.

The design, interactivity, functionality and content of the website were the criteria used in determining the winners of the award.

This was the second time the University won the bronze award, after securing it in 2015.

The University competed with some 20 other universities in the category. Hong Kong Baptist University and Taipei Medical University won the gold and silver awards respectively.

The QS-APPLE Creative Awards 2018 had four other categories, namely best international print advertisement, most creative corporate institution video, best international student recruitment brochure and best exhibition booth design.

The event was held last Nov. 21 to 23 at the Chung-Ang University in Seoul, Korea.

In 2016, UST also won the silver award for the most creative corporate institution video category during the 12th QS-APPLE Creative Awards in Putrajaya, Malaysia.
