FILIPINO Dominican Prior Provincial Fr. Napoleon Sipalay, Jr., O.P. called for peace and change of heart to usher healing amid social ills, during Christmas Eve Mass at Santo Domingo Church in Quezon City on Monday.

“Ito ‘yong kapayapaan na kailangan natin. [‘Y]ong kapayapaan ng mga taong nalulong sa droga na handang humingi ng tulong upang maliwanagan ang kaisipan…’yong kapayapaan na nagbibigay ng lakas ng loob sa mga magulang na magmahal pa rin,” he said in his homily.

Sipalay stressed that peace, which comes from Jesus, must be shared with those who experience hardships in life.

With peace, people could handle different situations with hope and a deeper conviction, he added.
