UST CHANCELLOR Fr. Bruno Cadore, O.P. said caring for the sick should be the “heart” of the newly built extension of UST Hospital.

Cadore, Master of the Order of Preachers, led the Mass for the inauguration of the St. Pope John Paul II Building at UST Hospital.

“[K]nowledge, research and study are important for [everyone]. Compassion will be the fount of knowledge, research and care for the sick,” said Cadore, a physician by training.

The French Dominican acknowledged the University for its commitment and determination in building the extension of the UST Hospital.

Cadore also lauded Thomasians who were able to serve people in different parts of the world.

A testimonial dinner was held at the Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. building in honor of Cadore.
