Librarians won’t be there to shush.
The UST Miguel de Benavides Library, the quietest corner of the University, will allow loud roars and cheers this weekend, thanks to the UST Growling Tigers.
The library will broadcast a “LibStream” of Game 1 of the Tigers’ finals series against the Ateneo Blue Eagles tomorrow, Nov. 16, 4 p.m., at its ground floor viewing area.
After the Tigers’ finals-clinching victory over the UP Fighting Maroons last Nov. 13, the UST library Facebook page uploaded a video showing Thomasians roaring loud with “Go USTe!” chants in the library.

The video collected more than 40,000 views, and was shared by UST’s official Facebook page with the caption: “The Library is normally a place for silence. Not tonight. We won!”
A Renzo Subido three-pointer punctuated the Tigers’ sweep of UP Wednesday and ended UST’s four-year absence from the UAAP finals.
The Tigers will face Ateneo in a best-of-three finals series.
