A GROUP of marketing sophomores were named finalists in the 2020 Agora Youth Awards.
The competition required participants to submit a comprehensive marketing plan based on a case given by co-presenter Toyota Motors Philippines.
Jerome Espinas, Patrick Gabriel Soriano, Elaine Tuazon, Dior Ventura and Margaux Pagkalinawan were among the five finalists representing UST in the Marketing School of the Year category, with their marketing plan titled “Capitalizing on Product Features.”
Espinas said the plan highlighted the “independent repairability” feature of hybrid electric vehicles.
“[This feature] is apparently advantageous to the traffic situation of the Philippines. Hence, making it a more suitable option for Filipino drivers,” Espinas told the Varsitarian in an online interview.
The University of the Philippines in Visayas meanwhile was named Marketing School of the Year.
The Agora Youth Awards is organized by the Philippine Marketing Association.
The announcement winners was held last March 8 at the Winford Hotel in Manila.
