THE UNIVERSITY has released the collegiate calendar for Academic Year (AY) 2023 to 2024, with Aug. 9 designated as the official start of regular classes.

AY 2023-2024 will be the first full academic year in UST following the World Health Organization’s declaration in May that the global Covid-19 emergency has ended.

The Office of the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs earlier told the Varsitarian that the University would stick to the hybrid setup for AY 2023-2024. This decision follows the University’s transition to hybrid learning during the second term of AY 2022-2023.

No purely online or purely on-site classes will be conducted in the upcoming academic year.

According to the Office of the Secretary General (OSG), AY 2023-2024 will commence with freshman orientation activities scheduled for Aug. 1 to 2.

The Thomasian Welcome Walk will follow on Aug. 3.

The traditional Mass of the Holy Spirit or Misa de Apertura, which marks the start of the new academic year in the University, will be held on Aug. 4.

A week-long Undas break will be observed in the University from Oct. 30 to Nov. 6.

The annual Paskuhan festivities in UST were set for Dec. 21.

Registration for the second term will begin on Jan. 10 while regular classes will commence on Jan. 15.
