NAKATAKDANG sumabak sa PVP Esports Campus Championships 2020 Asian regionals ang UST Teletigers matapos nilang masungkit ang kampeonato sa AcadArena National Cup Mobile Legends Bang Bang Tournament nitong Linggo.
Pinataob ng Teletigers ang Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Isko sa championship round matapos talunin ang Malayan Colleges-Laguna (MCL) Warlocks Vincere sa semifinals.
“I think that knowing my teammates personally and knowing what heroes they want to use helped me draft a comfortable team composition and correct shotcalls,” tugon ni team captain Lee Kevin Tiu Cutero sa isang panayam sa Varsitarian.
Sina John Daniel Mendoza (offlane), Odysseus Urbi (support), Jerome Escalante (carry), Laurence Estrada (offlane), at Cutero (captain/tank) ang bumbuo sa koponan ng UST.
Kabilang sa mga lumahok sa kompetisyon ang Far Eastern University Tamaraws, Holy Angel University Valiant Archangel, Adamson University Falcon Gaming, Lady of Lourdes Scythe Gaming at Polytechnic University of the Philippines Isko.
Nag-uwi ang TeleTigers ng 40,000 pesos na premyo mula sa torneo.
Layon ng AcadArena National Cup na itaguyod ang eSports sa bansa at maipakita ang responsableng paglalaro sa loob ng paaralan at instiyusyong pang-akademiko.
