TWO UST Junior Female Tracksters brought home two medals in the 14th Southeast Asian Youth Athletics Championships at the Ilagan City Sports Complex in Isabela Sunday.
Junior Female Trackster Khrizzie Ruzol, a former triple jumper, topped the girl’s pole vault event after registering 2.60 meters, while teammate Jessa Libres copped silver after a 2.32-meter output.
“It was an honor representing the country. First time namin mag-compete dito kaya pressured kami noong una pero lahat ‘yon napalitan ng saya noong nanalo kami,” Ruzol said in an interview.
Other participating countries are Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Timor Leste, Brunei, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore and Myanmar.
