THE UST Junior Female Trackers kept their hold of the top spot through Day 3 of the UAAP Season 86 girls’ athletics tournament, adding seven medals to their tally at the PhilSports Track Oval in Pasig on Friday, Nov. 24.

UST has amassed a total of 291 points with a 6-6-5 gold-silver-bronze medal haul in three days of play.

Lea Ordinario continued her dominance after clocking in 59.73 seconds in the girl’s 400-meter dash for a gold-medal finish.

Ordinario, alongside fellow Junior Female Tracksters Lyka Miravelles, Iza Pangilinan, and Ashley Tabad, logged 49.83 seconds in the girls’ 4×100-meter relay event to nab the gold medal.

Rashied Burdeos registered 36.76 meters to grab the gold medal in the girls’ discus throw event.

Jamaica Saligan grabbed the silver medals in the girls’ 400-meter dash and triple jump events after finishing with 1:00.45 and 10.95-meter records.

Tabad registered 1:00.68 to notch the bronze medal in the girls’ 400-meter dash event, while Lyka Raterta snagged the bronze medal in the 1500m run even after clocking 5:19.57.

In the boys’ division, the Junior Male Tracksters improved to a 3-3-2 medal tally, garnering 182 points for the second spot behind Adamson University with 343.5 points after three days.

Gabriel Cervantes notched another gold medal for the Junior Male Tracksters, registering 15:00.41 in the boys’ 3000-meter walk event.

Palarong Pambansa standouts Sean Narag and Mejen Sumbongana alongside Harvey Villasan and Aryan Piomato recorded 45.57 seconds in the boys’ 4×100-meter relay event and placed second behind Adamson’s 42.91 seconds.

Villasan also clinched the silver medal in the boys’ high jump event after clearing the 1.70-meter mark, while Kirby Arca recorded 46.05 meters in the boys’ javelin throw event to capture the bronze medal.

The Junior Tiger Tracksters will be back in action for Day 4 at the same venue on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 1 p.m.
