THE UST Junior Female Tracksters claimed their second championship in a row, while the Junior Male Tracksters settled for silver in the UAAP Season 86 high school athletics tournaments at the PhilSports Track Oval in Pasig on Sunday, Nov. 26.

UST successfully defended its title in the girls’ division, amassing a total of 488 points with a 13-10-6 gold-silver-bronze medal haul. 

Lyka Raterta clocked 8:10.24 in the girls’ 2000-meter steeplechase event to cap the season with gold.

Lyka Miravelles  recorded 15.81 seconds to bag gold in the girls’ 100-meter hurdles event.

Junior Female Tracksgers Iza Pangilinan, Ashley Tabad, Jamaica Saligan and Lea Ordinario ruled the girls’ 4×400-meter relay event after clocking 4:07.80.

Felicity Danao and Mitch Niegas added silver and bronze medals for UST in the girls’ 2000-meter steeplechase and 100-meter hurdles events, respectively. 

In the boys’ division, the Junior Male Tracksters finished in second place with 390 points behind Adamson University’s 503.5 points.

Almie Aiso clinched the gold medal in the boys’ 3,000-meter steeplechase event after logging 10:22.83.

Harvey Villasan (gold) and Sean Narag (silver) achieved a 1-2 finish for USG in the boys’ 110-meter hurdle event. 

Villasan and Narag banded with fellow Junior Male Tracksters Jhon Quitoy and Aryan Piomato claimed silver in the boys’ 4×400-meter relay event.

The Junior Male Tracksters finished their Season 86 campaign with a 7-8-5 medal tally.
