REIGNING champions UST Lady Spikers capped of their UAAP season 82 beach volleyball tournament elimination round after extending their winning streak to 6-0 with a double victory at the SM Sands by the Bay Sunday.
UST tandem Gen Eslapor and Babylove Barbon dominated their matches against the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws, 21-11, 21-15, and University of the East Lady Warriors, 21-12, 21-11.
Trailing 13-11 in the second salvo, the Lady Spikers used an 8-4 run topped by Lady Tamarraw Sheena Gallentes’ attack error to triumph over FEU.
Barbon’s service ace and Eslapor’s knuckle shot nabbed the victory against UE.
Lady Spikers Barbon and Gen Eslapor posted 20 and 10 markers, respectively, in their game against FEU.
The duo chalked up 19 and 15 markers versus UE. Sheena Gallentes had 10 points for FEU.
Juliet Catindig posted 7 markers for UE.
The Lady Spikers will next face the De La Salle University Lady Archers on Oct. 2, Wednesday, 10:40 a.m. at the same venue.
