UST TELETIGERS settled for fourth place in the International Esports Festival League of Legends tournament 2019 in Hunan, China on November 23 and 24.

The UST squad qualified for the playoffs with a 5-1 run, courtesy of their wins against the South Korea players and a match loss against players from China in the group stage.

The team bowed to China’s ZhongNan University representatives in the semifinals, 1-2.

The roster was composed of John Daniel Mendoza (top), Michael Gonzales (jungle), PJ San Pedro (midlaner), Don Moya (attack damage carry) and Jan Edward Hortizuela (support).

“Teletigers Esports Club plans to process a separate organization called Thomasian Esports Organization, hopefully by 2020, to fully integrate esports within the campus and promote a healthy environment for esports and video game enthusiasts for the Thomasian community,” Teletigers Esports Club head Theo Ignacio told the Varsitarian in an online interview.
