Jan. 11, 2015, 10:10 p.m. – THE UNIVERSITY Athletics Association of the
Philippines (UAAP) will take a break from action to give way to Pope Francis’
visit on Jan. 15 to 19.
With the first round of volleyball
action concluding on Jan. 11 after the finals rematch between defending champion
Ateneo and La Salle, there will be no games throughout the Pontiff’s stay in
the country.
Second round action will resume on Jan.
21.
Football and juniors basketball will
have games scheduled until Jan. 14 before taking a week-long break, while the chess
and lawn tennis tournaments will have games Jan. 11 before giving way to the
Papal visit.
Baseball and Softball will open their
respective seasons after the Papal visit on Jan. 24 and 25. Paul
