The Adamson Lady Falcons bagged their first Premier Volleyball League title, sweeping the UST Golden Tigresses in three games at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan Saturday.
Trisha Genesis’ 14 points led the Lady Falcons, 25-19, 25-6, 25-17, in a dominant Game 2.
Adamson banked on a 10-2 run, punctuted by a block from Rizza Cruz in the third salvo to secure the win.
UST scored only six points in the second set where Adamson tightened its defense and had a 5-1 advantage in blocks.
Eya Laure led the Tigresses with 11 points while Imee Hernandez, who was named as the league’s second best middle blocker, added five points, four being blocks.
Cruz posted 10 for Adamson.
The Golden Tigresses will begin their UAAP season 82 campaign in the second semester.
