MANILA Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula has appointed two Thomasian priests to ministries in the Archdiocese of Manila focusing on public affairs.

Fr. Jerome Secillano was named the new minister of the Ministry on Public Affairs, while Fr. Enrico Martin Adoviso will serve as the new minister of the Ministry on Socio-Political Advocacy.

Secillano is the parish priest of Nuestra Señora de Perpetuo Socorro Parish in Sampaloc and the executive secretary of the Permanent Committee on Public Affairs of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines.

He is also a radio anchor and news consultant at Radio Veritas.

He will succeed Fr. Atilano Fajardo in the archdiocesan post.

Secillano obtained his bachelor’s degree in sacred theology in 2000 and his licentiate in canon law in 2002 from UST.

Adoviso is a commissioner of the Manila archdiocese’s Commission on Social Services and a minister in Caritas Manila’s Archdiocesan Ministry of Labor Concerns.

He serves as the parish priest of the Most Holy Trinity Parish in Balic-Balic, Sampaloc.

Adoviso took up institutional theology at the Faculty of Sacred Theology from 1984 to 1985 and 1987 to 1988.

Advincula also appointed Fr. Reginald Malicdem as the new spokesman of the archdiocese.
