FORMER UST rector Fr. Rolando de la Rosa, O.P. received anew the best opinion column plum at the Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA).
His weekly column, “Through Untrue,” published in the Manila Bulletin since 1990, features reflections based on Sunday gospels.
De la Rosa was the University’s rector for three terms, between 1990 and 1998 and between 2008 and 2012. He is a former Varsitarian Witness (Religion) editor.
The awarding ceremony was led by Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Jose Advincula and Edgard Cabangon, acting chairman of the CMMA, on Nov. 23 at the Manila Grand Opera Hotel. Ammiel B. Maestrado
