Oct. 28 2016, 9:44 p.m. – THE DEAN of the Faculty of Engineering was elected president of the Philippine Association of Engineering Schools (PAES) Inc. last Oct. 28.
Dean Philipina Marcelo was formerly first vice president of PAES, a network of engineering schools in the Philippines. It was formerly known as the Philippine Association for Technological Education.
In August, Marcelo joined the PAES board of directors in its benchmarking activities in Malaysia, attending the Regional Conference on Engineering Education and coordinating with the association’s Asean counterparts.
PAES aims for the advancement of engineering education through instruction, research and extension service.
