THE UNIVERSITY clinched the fourth spot among top-performing schools in the November 2018 licensure examinations for chemical engineers.

UST registered an 82.93-percent passing rate, or 102 out of 123 examinees, higher than last year’s 80.17 percent or 97 out of 121.

Peter Nicholas Onglao of the University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman led the country’s newest batch of chemical engineers with a score of 84.40 percent.

UP Diliman was the top-performing school anew, after recording a passing rate of 96.10 percent or 74 out of 77 examinees.

The national passing rate rose to 70.66 percent, or 737 out of 1,043 examinees, from last year’s 66.56-percent, or 627 examinees passing the test out of 942.
