ACCOUNTANCY sophomore Maru Joi Pasion won the grand title of the Miss Ambassador of Goodwill Philippines 2019 pageant at the Iloilo Grand Hotel last Nov. 24.
Pasion was Metro Manila’s representative for the competition.
The 19-year-old was also the youth ambassador for accountancy last academic year.
Her main advocacy is education for indigenous children.
“I will focus more on my academic life while championing my advocacy through the wider platform I now have,” she told the Varsitarian.
Pasion won major awards such as Best in Talent, Best in Panel Interview, Miss Photogenic and Miss Popularity.
She bested eight other contestants in the pageant, which coincided with the 22nd national midyear convention of the National Federation – Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants.
