TWO FACULTY of Civil Law juniors and a Faculty of Arts and Letters senior lead the Varsitarian staff for the school year 2005-06.

Civil Law’s Eldric Paul Peredo and Teodoro Lorenzo Fernandez were retained as

editor in chief and managing editor, while Reagan Tan, a former News and Science and Technology writer, was appointed associate editor.

Lady Camille de Guia and Karla Tricia Magno, Journalism seniors, were appointed News editor and Sports editor. Applied Physics junior Jefferson Evalarosa is the Sci-Tech editor, while Architecture senior Erick Christian David is the Art director.

Journalism seniors Kathleen Valle, Anne Nerissa Alina and Sharline Bareng are acting editors of the Witness, Circle, and Literary sections, respectively. Communication Arts junior Paul Jason Jaud is the acting Photography editor.

Completing the 43-man staff of the Varsitarian’s 77th year are:

April Dawn Jennifer Adriatico, Edsel Van Dura, Marlene Elmenzo, Miko Morelos, Joanarc Villaflor, and Jianne Yamzon (News); Don Gil Carreon, Icy Luzano, Llanesca Panti, and Jose Bimbo Santos (Sports); Angelo De Alban, Jordan Mari De Leon, and Paolo Mariano (Special Reports); Mary Joy De Lara, Jose Teodoro Mendoza, and Glaiza Marie Seguia (Features); Kris Bayos and Mary Rose Pabelonia (Witness); Florian Garcia and Brian Sales (Circle); Laurence John Morales and Marie Ghiselle Villorente (Sci-Tech); Bernadette Irinco and Czeriza Shenille Valencia (Literary); Julienne del Mundo, Mary Elaine Gonda, Emili Malacapo, and Ruby Anne Pascua (Filipino); Dura and Mary Meysil Yamat (Photography); and Jonathan Gamalinda and Royce Mar Nicdao (Art).

Prof. Joselito Zulueta, of the Journalism Department, is still the publications adviser.

This year’s selection committee members were Center for Creative Writing and Studies director Ophelia Dimalanta, former Varsitarian editors in chief Christian Esguerra of the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Felipe Salvosa of Business World, and former Varsitarian managing editor and now Commerce Prof. Adrian Montemayor.
