TO EXPAND knowledge in information and computer systems, students of the Information and Computer Studies Department (ICS) of the College of Science established the Information and Computer Organization (ICOn), which was formally launched last July 4 at the Medicine Auditorium.

ICOn president Irwin Michael Hinayon said he is thankful to the Math Society (MathSoc), his other organization, for help in establish ICOn. Hinayon said they felt the need to establish a new organization because most of MathSoc’s activities are not related with computer studies.

Currently, ICOn has 628 members coming from Information Technology, Computer Studies, and Information Management, who were formerly honorary members of the MathSoc. Elka Krystle R. Requinta
