FOR her contributions and to the achieve nutrition improvement of Filipinos, College of Education professor Joan Sumpio was conferred the title “fellow” by the Philippine Association of Nutrition last July 1 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.
Sumpio was nominated by her fellow faculty members and the University alumni to be UST’s official representative to the nationwide event.
Aside from teaching, Sumpio serves the UST Hospital’s Dietary Department head. She is also a board member of the Nutritionists-Dieticians Association of the Philippines and the Philippines Association of Diabetes Educators. Ma. Cristina S. Lavapie
