June 10, 2015, 3:01 p.m. – A THOMASIAN was chosen as one
of the 30 finalists of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP)

at the National Screening Assembly held at the RFM Corporate Center in
Mandaluyong City last June 6.

Marketing Management graduate Peter Rico Wong is the sole
Thomasian among the finalists, who were selected from 84 regional awardees and
national nominees all over the country.

Wong graduated cum laude in 2015 and was one of the
recipients of the Benavides Outstanding Achievement Award for the individual
category. He was also named one of the Top 25 Young Marketing Leaders of the
Philippines by Markprof Foundation.

TOSP, considered the most prestigious award for young role
models in the country, was launched by Jose Concepcion, Jr. in 1961. It honors
outstanding Filipino students who have “personified academic excellence,
exemplary leadership, and deep sense of social responsibility, anchored on good
moral values.”

The date of the awarding of the Top Ten is yet to be announced.
