October 29, 2015, 11:03p.m. – THE UNIVERSITY posted a higher passing rate in the October electronics engineering licensure examinations.

UST’s passing rate increased to 65.93 percent (120 passers out of 182 examinees) from last year’s 54.92 percent (106 passers out of 193 examinees), results from the Professional Regulation Commission showed.

Emiliano Tan of University of the Philippines (UP) – Diliman led this year’s batch of electronic engineers with a 91.20-percent score.

UP retained its position as the sole top-performing school in the exams after posting a passing rate of 86.96 percent. Forty UP examinees passed out of 46.

The national passing rate climbed to 39.94 percent from last year’s 31.58 percent, with 1,784 making the cut of the 4,467  examinees. Dayanara T. Cudal
