10 May 2016, 1:40 pm – MARKING the 70th year of its foundation, the Conservatory of
Music will hold a benefit dinner and concert titled “Love Unspoken” at the
Buenaventura G. Paredes, O.P. Building Main Lobby on May 14.


The concert aims to generate funds for scholarships and to upgrade the
Conservatory’s facilities, projects, musical instruments and equipment.

Performers include Music dean and pianist Raul Sunico, who will play the
Tchaikovsky piano concerto No. 1 in Bb minor, and the UST Symphony Orchestra
under the baton of Prof. Herminigildo Ranera.

The Voice Faculty, composed of 12 Music teachers, will render selected songs
from popular operas and Broadway musicals such as a medley of Leonard
Bernstein’s “West Side Story,” One Day More by Claude-Michel Schoenberg from
“Les Miserables” and Giacomo Puccini’s Nessun Dorma from “Turandot.”

Professors Irma Ponce Enrile Potenciano and Gloria Coronel will also have solo
performances of song from famous operas.Amierielle Anne A. Bulan
