NEARLY eight out of every 10 UST examinees passed the February 2017 licensure examinations for medical technologists, results from the Professional Regulation Commission showed.
UST’s passing rate slipped to 79.49 percent, or 31 out of 39 examinees, from last year’s 89.47 percent.
Saint Louis University, Adventist University of the Philippines and Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation were named top-performing schools. All examinees from the three schools passed the board exams.
Vanessa Rivera of Far Eastern University-Manila topped the new batch of medical technologists with a 91.20-percent score.
Former Varsitarian Science and Technology writer Maritz Lubo was among those who passed the exam.
The national passing rate stood at 73.94 percent, with 2,378 passers out of 3,216 examinees.
This was slightly lower than last year’s 78.81-percent, in which 2,046 passed out of 2,596 examinees.
