THE UNIVERSITY aced the June 2017 nursing board exams anew with all four Thomasian examinees passing the test.
Last year, UST registered a 100-percent passing rate as all 12 Thomasians hurdled the exams.
Mary Angelie Cabañez of West Visayas University – La Paz led the country’s new batch of nurses with a score of 86.20-percent.
Xavier University was named the top-performing school, garnering a 100-percent passing rate with all its 60 examinees passing.
The national passing rate slumped to 34.74 percent, with just 3,882 making the cut out of 11,176 examinees. Last year’s passing rate was 43.59 percent, with 6,183 passing out of 14,184 examinees.
During the November 2016 nursing board exams, UST was hailed as the top-performing school, garnering a 100-percent passing rate with all 324 Thomasians passing the test.
