THIS YEAR’S Harry Potter-themed Paskuhan reflects Manila’s beauty and vibrance, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said during the opening rites of the University’s month-long Christmas celebration.
“[It shows] that we are going in one direction and that we are unified towards a better, vibrant Manila,” the mayor told the Varsitarian.
This year’s Paskuhan festivities commenced on Dec. 2, with the traditional lighting of Christmas displays, Mass and the Agape for the Thomasian community.
A drone show drew crowds to the open field.
“UST made the city government part of the community even though it’s supposed to be the other way around,” Domagoso said.
Vice Mayor Honey Lacuña, a biology alumna, also attended the opening rites.
Prior to the Paskuhan celebration, the Manila city government announced the suspension of classes at all levels on Dec. 3. with reports from Charm Ryanne C. Magpali
