CONTINUOUS rains brought by Severe Tropical Storm “Florita” dampened the third and final Homecoming Walk for sophomores and juniors on Tuesday and caused the suspension of classes and office work in the University on Wednesday.

Following Manila Mayor Honey Lacuña’s Executive Order 29, UST Secretary General Fr. Louie Coronel, O.P. announced at 7:21 p.m. on Tuesday that there would be no classes and office work in UST tomorrow due to inclement weather.

“Florita” also forced the suspension of the third and final Homecoming Walk for sophomores and juniors from the Alfredo M. Velayo-UST College of Accountancy, College of Medicine, College of Civil Law, Graduate School, Graduate School of Law, College of Commerce, and Ecclesiastical Faculties.

The suspension of the final Homecoming Walk was announced after the third “ROARientation.”

Sophomores and juniors from other academic units were able to pass through the Arch of the Centuries earlier on Tuesday despite heavy rains.

Coronel said the homecoming rites for the basic education cluster would be rescheduled to a later date.
