UST had a strong performance in the August 2022 licensure examinations for medical technologists, producing the topnotcher and five others in the top 10.

Kharam Molbog led the country’s new batch of medical technologists with a score of 91.90 percent.

Five other Thomasians joined Molbog in the top 10: Karen Tan (No. 2, 91.30 percent), Patrick Luzung (No. 4, 90.80 percent), Isabella Pabustan (No. 5, 90.60 percent), Kyle Ortañez (No. 7, 90 percent) and John Villareal (89.80 percent).

Miah Terrenz Provido, a former Varsitarian photographer, was among UST’s passers.

The University recorded a 78.23-percent passing rate or 194 out of 248 examinees. UST’s passing rate rose from 66.67 percent, or 50 out of 75 examinees, in March 2022.

The University of the Immaculate Conception-Davao was named the top performing school with an 88.57-percent passing rate, or 124 out of 140 examinees.

The national passing rate slightly increased to 47.63 percent (1,796 out of 3,582 examinees) in August 2022 from 46.08 percent (1,268 out of 2,752 examinees) in March 2022.
