A THOMASIAN ranked seventh in the March 2023 licensure examinations for medical technologists, in which UST posted a 90.57-percent passing rate or 240 out of 265 examinees.
UST alumna Jillian Bulanadi scored 91.30 percent to place seventh nationwide. Bulanadi tied with Ermaleth Carpio (Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas), Leonard Midel (Velez College), and Dianne Valderrama (University of Perpetual Help System – Laguna).
UST’s passing rate rose from 78.23 percent, or 194 out of 248 examinees, in August 2022.
Sidrey Flores of the Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod City led the country’s newest batch of medical technologists with a score of 92.10 percent.
Velez College (143 examinees) and Cebu Doctors University (95 examinees) were named top-performing schools after both recorded a 100 percent passing rate.
The total number of examinees almost doubled to 6,165 in March 2023 from only 3,582 in August 2022.
The national passing rate increased to 76.46 percent (4,714 out of 6,165 examinees) in March from 47.63 percent (1,796 out of 3,582 examinees) in the previous exam cycle.
The exams were held on March 8 and 9.
