THE UNIVERSITY emerged as the lone top-performing school in the January 2024 licensure examinations for architects, producing the highest number of architects among all schools nationwide.

UST produced 110 passers out of 134 examinees. It had five topnotchers: Franchesca Lopez (No. 4; 84.40 percent), Nicole Aunario (No. 5; 84.30 percent), Andrea Ugay (No. 5; 84.30 percent), Jene Macam (No. 6; 84.20 percent) and Angel Balastigue (No. 7; 83.60 percent).

The school’s passing rate, however, dipped to 82.09 percent from 87.82 percent (173 of 197) in the June 2023 cycle.

Sherilyn Baniago of the University of the East snagged the No. 1 spot after scoring 85.50 percent.

The national passing rate slightly rose to 61.68 percent (1,809 of 2,933) from 61.1 percent (2,924 of 4,784) in the June 2023 cycle.

The exams were held on Jan. 24 and 26.
