Mga bagong akda, inilathala ng UST Publishing House

29 Agosto 2015, 12:09 a.m. NAGLABAS ng anim na akda ang UST Publishing House (USTPH) sa taunang Philippine Literary Festival na ginanap ika-28 ng Agosto, sa Raffles Hotel sa lungsod ng Makati.

Pinamagatang “Philosophy and Memory,” ang book launch ay naglayon na ipakita ang iba-ibang anyo at tungkulin ng mga gunita.

Muling inilathala ang “Filipino Woman Writing: Home and Exile in the Autobiographical Narratives of Ten Writers” ni Cristina Pantoja-Hidalgo, direktor ng UST Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies (UST-CCWLS) at dating punong patnugot ng Varsitarian.

UST to offer undergrad course in Creative Writing

June 5, 2015, 9:24 p.m. - UST'S Faculty of Arts and Letters (Artlets) is set to offer a bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Creative Writing starting 2018.

"There is obviously an interest [in creative writing] on the part of the students," UST Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies (CCWLS) Director Cristina Pantoja-Hidalgo said in an interview. "Since a program is not yet offered by [UST], interested students may only improve their skills through workshops."

Thomasian writers featured in flash fiction anthology

March 25, 2015, 10:55 a.m. - LITERARY works of Thomasian writers were showcased in a flash fiction anthology launched Tuesday at the Tanghalang Teresita Quirino of the UST Graduate School.

Titled "Fast Food Fiction Delivery," the book is a collection of flash fiction, short literary creations from different writers often marked by a distinct number of words used to create the piece.

Thomasian writers whose stories were featured in the book read their works and signed copies.

Thomasian poets, musicians celebrate in post-Valentine literary event

According to UST Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies (CCWLS) Director Cristina Pantoja-Hidalgo, the event was a manifestation of the strong touches of art in man's life.

Ustetika honors Cristina Pantoja-Hidalgo on its 30th year

Feb. 15, 2015, 8:46 p.m. - FOR HER contributions to Philippine literature and for mentoring a generation of writers, UST Creative Writing Center Director Cristina Pantoja-Hidalgo was conferred a lifetime achievement award at the 30th Gawad Ustetika held Saturday.

Hidalgo was given the prestigious Parangal Hagbong during the Ustetika annual awards at the George Ty Hall of the Fr. Buenaventura G. Paredes, O.P. Building.
